Background
Before applying to join ZoC you should know a bit about us.
Two warlocks screaming at each other over stealing kills in Un'Goro Crater. Realizing they were making asses of each other, they stop fighting and start talking. Sup and Slow form the first bonds that were to bring Disciples of Cloister <DoC> and Drinkin Lincolns < DL > together.
Eventually, JeanClaude and Slow learned to like each other as <DoC> and < DL > along with various other tag-alongs started wiping in ZG. As time moved on, more and more members were added to the flock, and the two guilds progressed to the first couple of bosses of BWL. After a long summer a new guild was born: <ZoC>. <ZoC> was formed to encourage a higher standard of raider in order to move us through new content.
When TBC came out in January 07, <ZoC> took a break from raiding as everyone leveled up to 70. When raiding resumed a more relaxed attitude was adopted since Karazhan only needs 10 people, not 40. We have fun, we raid, we party, we drink, and we wish only the best for each other.
We are here for fun. We aren't hard core 10 hour a day raiders.
Expectations
We have few restrictions on play. We ask that you abide by requests made by Class Captains/Officers, beyond that courtesy and a willingness to contribute is all we ask.
We try to distribute loot evenly by talking through who needs what and by measuring how big of an upgrade it would be. Loot whores suck, don't be one.
In order to make sure that you as a raider match our requirements and that we match yours, we have a trial period of 4 weeks, where you are at rank "Applicant".
While at this rank if you feel we aren't for you, please just send a Game mail to and officer saying "Nice knowing you, but I want to try elsewhere" and we will wave you off with a smile.
If, from our side we say "Sorry this isn't working - here's why..." please take it on the chin, you can either work on fixing the "here's why" conditions, in an extended trial, or you can apply elsewhere with no ill feeling.
Voice Chat
DoC uses a Ventrilo voice chat facility, we spend a good amount of time in this "Virtual Lounge room" chatting and carrying on. We consider the content of what goes on here to be the same as we would allow in our own lounge rooms. Some people may be offended by our carry on, we are comfortable with it, if you aren't we aren't the right guild for you.
We also have facilities set aside on our Ventrilo server to allow parents to play with their children safe from the banter in the open channels.
