Guild:Policies:Kick

From DoCWiki

While we can all hope that such times never come, some point in the future, especially as we continue to grow, disciplinary action may have to be taken.

We joke, we kid, and we generally have a hell of a lot of fun. There's not a whole lot you can do that could agitate us. There are, however, four things you can do that could make the officers seriously discuss your removal from our fine guild. I will refer to these as

The Grand Five Most Heinous Crimes Of Un-exellence

  1. Poking each other and making fun of each other is what this guild is all about. But intentionally insulting, berating, or otherwise taunting a fellow guild member will not be tolerated.
  2. Being a ninja is a good way of getting on everyone's bad side. No one likes a ninja, no one. If you're going around, ninja looting and node-stealing, then we do not want your kind here. When we say 'Be excellent to each other,' we mean it. This applies to anyone you meet on Alliance side, ZoC has a reputation, and you represent all of us out there. If any officer catches wind of someone being a ninja, you will be kicked. I don't even offer a warning in this case, you should know better. I want to note on ninja looting is that a mistake CAN happen. And if you're willing to make retribution (i.e. Pay fair market value, help run the instance again, etc) we can forgive, mistakes happen.
  3. Being generally obnoxious. There's no better way I can say this. If you spend your time spamming channels (especially guild chat) with nonsensical macros, whine constantly, basically being an annoying, simple-minded dimwit, then ZoC is not the place for you.
  4. Begging. Begging for money or items on guild chat is bad enough to warrant a reprimand. But if any officer hears about or witnesses a member of ZoC begging in general, severe disciplinary action will be taken. You will be warned once, that's it. After that, you will be kicked. End of story. No one likes beggars, they're childish and lazy. They'd rather people hand them stuff than work for it. I would like to note that we in ZoC are always glad to help, and if you're short on that lvl 40 mount, oftentimes there's a number of us online that would happily toss a couple gold your way, or perhaps helping you run instances to build up that wealth.
  5. Applying to another guild without informing ZoC/DL leadership. If you intend to join another guild, please inform one of the Officers of your intention, or have the decency to /gquit before you apply elsewhere.

Those are the five crimes, right there. These are five crimes I can't see anyone here doing. There isn't a single person reading this I don't like on one level or another. I speak for all the officers when I say I hope I never have to eject someone from the guild for these crimes.
